3.0 is not yet released. A total rewrite, it embodies everything we learned from the current version and a great deal more we imagined and makes it all much simpler as well as ten times faster--meaning 3.0 works snappily on older machines such as the LS800. The AOPA link happened before we were ready, so we plead patience--the trial version you download only hints at what 3.0 can do. 3.0 is in heavy testing at the moment. The biggest obstacle to release is actually paperwork: manual, patent filings. The next biggest is Garmin support.

Two things of interest right now: we do a fair amount of our testing with Microsoft Flight Simulator X. You can do the same thing using Peter Dowson's FSUIPC and Johan Franson's GpsGate. We'll be posting a new page soon that details how to do it.
